Tebow to Appear in Super Bowl Ad
Posted: January 28th, 2010
He's a two-time national champion and the first college football player to with the Heisman Trophy as a sophomore, but University of Florida Gators quarterback Tim Tebow isn't afraid to stand up for what he believes. Demonstrating that he cares more about principles than potential endorsements, Tebow and his mother, Pam Tebow, will be featured in a Focus on the Family commercial set to air during this year's Super Bowl on CBS. The ad is scheduled to appear during the first quarter of the February 7 broadcast, and will reportedly center on the theme of "Celebrate Life, Celebrate Family." Not everyone is thrilled about Tebow's decision to appear in a Focus on the Family commercial, but Tim doesn't seem concerned. "I don't feel like I'm very preachy about it, but I do stand up for what I believe," he told reporters. "Unfortunately, in today's society, not many athletes tend to do that. So I'm just standing for something."
